Multiculturalism plays an important role in the success of our projects and products. Each language, story, and perspective contributes to a more complete view of the world. Thanks to this cultural richness, we have different perspectives to refine ideas, co-create innovative solutions, and find global answers.
There are many examples, but here we share 3 projects that show how we break down borders and connect people.
Talent Evolution
For 7 months, we broke down barriers, shared experiences, and made diversity the key tool in evolving our talent process. What did we achieve? We developed a global, modern, and tailor-made process for our associates.
Despite geographic and language differences, 79 associates from 14 different nationalities, worked together, representing all Organizations.
The Bimbo Dream
This is a global initiative designed to empower girls between the ages of 10 and 13 through football and its values, promoting gender equity, inclusion, and healthy lifestyle habits.
The selected girls enjoy a unique four-day experience in Barcelona, Spain, where they train at FC Barcelona’s facilities, spend time with Aitana Bonmatí — considered the best player in the world — as well as other team members such as María 'Mapi' León, Janna Fernández, and Fridolina Rolfö. They also participate in workshops focused on wellness and nutrition.
In this edition, the call was opened in 23 countries and led to the selection of 43 girls. Additionally, seven participants from Grupo Bimbo’s social programs in Central and South America — Campeonas de Sueños and Futbolito Bimbo — were invited.
Knowledge Micro-Communities
Knowledge micro-communities are collaborative spaces made up of people from different bakeries, areas, or Organizations around the world who share a common process, product, or team.
We currently have 90 micro-communities with participation from 10 Organizations: Bimbo Mexico, Bimbo Brasil, Bimbo Canada, Bimbo EMEA, Bimbo Asia, Bimbo Latin Sur, Bimbo Latin Centro, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Barcel, and Bimbo QSR.
These communities function as living support networks where ideas are exchanged, questions are answered, progress is shared, and more efficient and innovative processes are built together.
They are a clear example of how, by bringing together diverse experiences, we create stronger and more effective solutions for the entire company.
Throughout the year, more than 3,600 associates from over 180 plants in different countries have come together here.
